Quick and Easy Healthy Snack

4:49 PM

Being myself, I prefer to stay healthy by eating clean and keeping active daily. I have to admit, sometimes I do like to sneak in a little piece of chocolate or something sweet, but what can I do? I'm only human!

Anyways, I wanted to go ahead and share one of my favorite snacks/light meal that I absolutely adore. This is the perfect kinda thing for when you're not too hungry and want something that'll fill you up without making you feel bloated. I hope you enjoy!

What you will need:
-Lightly Salted Brown Rice Cakes
-Avocado
-Tomato
-Feta Cheese (Optional)
-Salt & Pepper
-Tahini
-Za'Atar (which is a Middle Eastern Seasoning)

You should start by cutting up the avocado and the tomato. Usually half of an avocado and half of a tomato is good for topping two rice cakes. After you cut them, place them on the rice cakes and sprinkle some salt and pepper on top. I also love adding some Tahini to give it an extra kick and it also compliments the avocado brilliantly.

If you want, you could stop here and still have a super tasty snack! Sometimes I eat it like this when I'm not in the mood for some cheese. When I do add cheese, it's usually some feta cheese but I also love topping it with goat cheese. I also love adding this Mediterranean Spice called Za'Atar. For me, it's the final touch to this. I've grown up eating all types of food with this seasoning, but if you haven't tried it I strongly recommend it.

And being me, I added some strawberries to the plate to satisfy my sweet tooth and of course to make the plate look pretty!
